1 (16 ounce) package pasta (your favorite shape)
3 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon minced garlic
4 cups chopped tomatoes
1/2 pound turkey ham
2 1/2 cups LACTAID® Reduced Fat Milk
3 tablespoons finely chopped parsley
1/4 cup finely chopped basil
1 teaspoon crushed oregano
salt and pepper to taste
- Cook pasta following package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat oil over medium heat in a large frying pan. Add onion and garlic. Cook over medium heat 2 to 3 minutes. Add tomatoes and ham. Cook 3 to 4 minutes, just until tomatoes are warm. Add LACTAID® Reduced Fat Milk and pasta.
- Simmer over medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes or until the LACTAID® Reduced Fat Milk has reduced and started to thicken. Add herbs and simmer 3 to 4 minutes for flavors to blend.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
