2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, cut into slices
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups LACTAID® Fat Free Milk
2 cups canned crushed tomatoes in tomato puree
- In a 2 1/2 quart saucepan, heat olive oil and saute onions until golden, about 5 minutes.
- Whisk in flour, salt, Italian seasoning and pepper. Cook until flour is absorbed, about 2-5 minutes.
- Slowly add LACTAID® Fat Free Milk and tomatoes, stirring constantly, heat just to boiling. Simmer for 5 minutes and serve warm.
